By Frances Flannagan

Royal Huisman’s groundbreaking big fisher superyacht Project 406 has now been unveiled as SPECIAL ONE. This spectacular vessel has already captured the attention of the superyacht industry, as the most bespoke and meticulously engineered sportfish yacht in the world.

Prior to her first sea trials which will take place on the North Sea, Project 406 has been re-named as SPECIAL ONE. She has a LOA of 52m, boasting a towering profile, powerful hull and six decks.

SPECIAL ONE is not only the largest, but also the most luxurious and true sportfish yacht in the world, embodying the Dutch yard's ethos of: ‘the ultimate expression of personal freedom.’

She has been designed for an Owner who is not only highly experienced, but passionate about fishing, with exteriors, interiors and naval architecture overseen by Vripack Yacht Design. SPECIAL ONE has an extremely distinctive design, including a long bow, high bulwarks and an uncluttered cockpit aft.

Her high tower not only offers unparalleled views with a downward angle on the water for sportfishing, but also acts as an incredible viewing platform for guests, allowing everyone onboard to be involved in the action.

SPECIAL ONE is a truly spectacular vessel, beautifully blending the ultimate specialised fishing experience with superyacht comfort, luxury and refinement. She features an Alustar aluminium hull and superstructure, exuding strength and resilience whilst facilitating smooth cruising due to her lighter weight.

Set to turn heads wherever she goes, SPECIAL ONE has already captured the attention of the superyacht industry, as the most bespoke, meticulously engineered and most impressive true sportfish yacht on the planet.
