St. John's
Antigua is the largest, most developed, and most prosperous of the Leeward Islands. The capital city of St.John’s in Antigua is a bustling town bursting with a vibrant social scene of premier restaurants serving delicious island cuisine and an eclectic mix of nightclubs to suit the taste of every passionate night owl.
Other notable settlements on the island are All Saints, home to the ruins of a sugar-cane plantation that was built nearly 350 years ago, and Liberta, the site of Antigua’s first settlement for freed slaves, so called the ‘Village of Liberty’.
English Harbour
An island with a rich maritime history, Antigua boasts many attractions of note. On the south eastern coast lies the settlement of English Harbour, which takes its name from the nearby Royal Navy harbour established in the 18th century as a base of operations. English Harbour is best known for Nelson’s Dockyard which displays restored buildings and historical artefacts from the colonial period of the dockyard when it was commanded by Horatio Nelson.

Antigua Sailing Week, which takes place from the end of April to the beginning of May, is a world-class regatta which brings many important vessels and esteemed sailors to the area to compete.
