Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Yachting Developments was established almost 20 years ago and has since grown to deliver vessels of the highest-quality standards to over 68 individual clients; each yacht as unique as its owner. Key to the design characteristics of each yacht is her ability to be practical, resilient, aesthetically pleasing, and a unique expression of her owner’s style.

Team
Yachting Developments is driven by a team of passionate professionals who have a genuine interest in the crafts they design and deliver; over 80 percent of staff either own or have access to a boat. With an employee reward-scheme that sees the top performing staff taken sailing, the avid interest the shipyard invests in its industry is clear in each of its vessels to sail the water.

New Builds
Each superyacht built at Yachting Development’s water-accessible premises on the upper reaches of Auckland Harbour is a product of the in-house teams that cover a range of disciplines. The shipyard generally has two superyachts under construction at any given time.

Craftsmanship
Yachting Developments constructs its vessels in the composite materials of fibreglass, Eglass, Kevlar, Sglass, Carbon and Hybrid fibres; hand crafted in New Zealand with the aid of computer technology. The best composite materials are selected with care and then utilising both modern technology and traditional ship building skills, the company delivers unique yachts “on time” and “in spec”.

Refit
Besides its new build services, Yachting Developments also provides on-site refit services to historic vessels and larger superyachts. Custom-made composite parts for third party use are also manufactured on-site.
