Arksen Launches New Discovery Series with First Hull Already In Build

Inspired by explorer greats and discoverer predecessors, of which rigid inflatable boats (RIB) have long facilitated their exploration, the brand new Arksen Discovery Series is a natural evolution of taking the RIB to new levels. 

Developing on the rich history of the popular vessel, Arksen has created a collection of open RIBS that offer an immersive experience with nature to encourage exploration and family adventure, due to feature cohesively alongside the yard’s pre-existing Adventure Series and its iconic Explorer Series.

Currently, the series is a fleet of five premium adventure RIBS designed and manufactured in-house in Great Britain, built using only materials and components that are premium and high quality for unparalleled build standards. Each vessel has been intelligently configured for superior functionality, featuring enhanced specifications, market-leading deck space and cruising range. Not only offering exceptional performance capabilities and significant robustness for even the harshest of conditions, the boats have been designed to be extremely comfortable and luxurious for an enjoyable and stress-free adventure.

The first of the series, the Arksen 8, has two configurations: Leisure and Explorer. The Arksen 8 Leisure is designed for families who have a thirst for adventure but also want something relaxed, sociable and luxurious. The Arksen 8 Explorer is equally as comfortable, instead aimed at the yacht tender and specialist project markets; built to order in limited numbers to exact expedition requirements. 

Both Arksen 8 models feature an advanced hydrodynamic hull design, ensuring a stable yet dynamic driving experience in challenging conditions. The 24-degree deadrise deep V hull, spray rails, and optimised forefoot can handle ocean swells and coastal waters with ease. Alongside its sturdy hull, the Arksen 8's asymmetric deck design includes a protective offset console with a spacious head compartment, and an optional black GRP hardtop with a retractable canvas roof and roof rack is also available. 

The Discovery Series revolves around family experiences, featuring purpose-built elements tailored for modern families. Spacious layouts encourage generations to bond and embrace the spirit of adventure, carefully thought through by well-designed seating, ample storage, and advanced technology to seamlessly enhance every aspect of the journey.

The Arksen 8 can accommodate up to 500hp with single or twin outboard engine options and a 450-litre fuel tank for extended cruising. With its luxurious finish, intelligent design, and unparalleled engineering, this RIB certainly sets new standards for boating, redefining the Grand Tourer RIB concept.
