Limited Edition Jewellery Boxes from Linley & Lalique
British design company Linley and French glass makers Lalique have teamed up to create a limited-edition collection of jewellery boxes.
The boxes – which combine Lalique crystal and Linley signature precious woods – come in two separate editions: The ‘Masque de Femme’ Jewellery Box & the ‘Perles’ Jewellery Box.
The ‘Masque de Femme’ box is crafted from Macassar ebony covered with vellum, bearing the signature Lalique ‘Masque de Femme’ motif and outfitted with 20 flower shaped crystals adorning the inlaid panel.
The ‘Perles’ box boasts a glamorous glossy finish to its signature Linley ebonised maple wood, set against the smooth finish of Lalique crystal.
Taking three weeks to manufacture, the crystal is fashioned at a factory in France, before being sent to England to finalise the assembly by hand.
Limited to just 99 units, the boxes are available in both Linley and Lalique stores from spring 2011.
