By Paul Joseph

The iconic Louvre Museum in Paris is offering art lovers the ultimate experience of having the entire place to themselves – for the cool price of €30,000.

Visitors seeking a truly exclusive look around one of the world’s most famous arts institutions can now do so courtesy of Family Twist, a Paris-based travel company that specialises in luxury trips to Europe.

As part of the private 90-minute tour, your party of up to 4 guests can explore the Louvre in unparalleled style, complete with experienced guides and even a stunning ballet performance.

Guests are picked up from their preferred location and taken to the museum, where the adventure begins with a perusal of the medieval section of the building. They are then greeted by an art historian and are handed cue cards for their journey ahead.

At the end of the tour, they are taken back in a private riverboat and offered champagne, cheese and caviar, all set against breathtaking views along the River Seine.

The tour covers the museum’s main highlights including the Venus di Milo, Jacques-Louis David’s The Coronation of Napoleon, Paolo Veronese’s The Wedding at Cana and – perhaps most famously of all – the Mona Lisa.

It also includes a specialised ballet performance on the staircase leading up the Winged Victory of Samothrace, a cherished marble Hellenistic sculpture.

Founded in 1793, the Louvre is the world's largest art museum.
