Simpson Marine Lands First Asian Sale of Aquila 70 Luxury

The biggest yacht ever launched by Aquila Boats has been dubbed the ‘King of Power Catamarans’.

Having sold several units prior to her official premiere at last year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show, the first sale in Asia is a big statement in marking out her global appeal.

Asia’s largest brokerage and service company, Simpson Marine, signed a deal to be the brand’s exclusive representative in the region in early 2018.

The Florida-based Aquila Boats ensured the highest standards of building work alongside multihull design experts Morelli & Melvin Design Studio.

 “From day one of building Aquila, we set ourselves apart by having the highest quality control possible,” said Aquila’s International Sales Director Yvan Emieu.

“This started with the production facility and fiberglass building techniques using resin infusion in humidity and temperature-controlled lamination bays”.

The Aquila 70 Luxury can reach top speeds of 27 knots and has state-of-the-art amenities on board a including most notably her signature cockpit open bar.

Aquila looks forward to continuing to dip its toes into the Asian market with the Aquila 28 Molokai currently located in Malaysia, and the Aquila 36 Sports has recently seen three Singaporean orders made within a span of just a few weeks.
