The $22,000 Alfredo Ferrari Table
Veraseri Designs have created a hand-carved table in honour of Alfredo Ferrari, the son of Enzo, founder of the Italian car marque.
Alfredo Ferrari, a talented car designer and engineer, died of Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 1956 at the age of 24. All proceeds from the piece will go to benefit research into the disease.
Set in the Ferrari flagship colour of red, the Dino Ferrari Table is crafted primarily from red fir derived from trees that were downed during a lightening storm in California.
Designed by Adam Krehbiel, the table also features the famous Scuderia Ferrari logo, the Cavallino Rampante ("prancing horse"), on its top, hand-carved from Puro Bianco Alabaster quarried from Volterra in Italy.
The cost of the table is $22,000.
