The May Fair Unveils The Marilyn Monroe Collection
The May Fair Hotel in London is celebrating one of Hollywood’s most iconic stars, Marilyn Monroe, this Autumn with an exclusive display of some of her most famous costumes.
The display will glean items from a collection that is set to go under the hammer at an upcoming Julien’s Auction, and will comprise a total of four outfits that Monroe wore in her films down the years.
The dresses on display are from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, There’s No Business Like Show Business, River of No Return and Some Like It Hot and will be sold live at the start of November at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.
As well as the apparel exhibit, the hotel has also curated a unique cocktail menu at the May Fair Bar and a series of indulgent dinner screenings of Monroe’s most famous roles.
The Marilyn Monroe Collection cocktail menu will consist of four original drinks created by May Fair Bar’s award-winning team, each inspired by one of the four outfits exclusively on display in the hotel
Each cocktail is available in the May Fair Bar, with guests are invited to experience the inspiration behind each drink first-hand with four exclusive screenings at the May Fair Theatre.
The costume display is running until 21 October.
