6 of The Largest Yachts to Appear at Monaco Yacht Show 2022

By Heather Collier

We delve into some of the largest yachts to appear at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022. From Benetti to CRN, we'll be exploring some of the most luxurious vessels to take the world stage at this year's show.

AHPO - 115m (377ft)

Ahpo is a custom motor yacht launched in 2021 by Lürssen Yachts, in Germany.

At 115m, with a maximum draft of 4.3 feet and a beam of 18.21 feet, she will be the largest superyacht on display at the show this year.

Following her delivery in November last year, Ahpo, formally known as Project Enzo, has spent her first season cruising the Caribbean and is now located in the Mediterranean for the summer, ahead of her Monégasque debut in a matter of weeks.

Built for a repeat Lürssen client, Ahpo features superior design and engineering paired with unparalleled cruising comfort for the whole family.

Her exterior design and interior design is by Nuvolari & Lenard. "It is not necessary to live, it is necessary to sail", this is the firm belief of Italian design company Nuvolari & Lenard. No stranger to high-profile yacht design, the studio has stamped its distinctive style on a number of the ocean’s biggest and brightest.

Ahpo can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests across 7 cabins.

Peter Lürssen comments: “The owner’s brief was demanding. However, we believe our engineering expertise has surpassed his wishes to own a yacht that many years from now will be timeless and yet still ahead of its time. Our thanks, of course, go to the good design and communications with the designers Nuvolari-Lenard and to Moran Yacht & Ship, who oversaw the build on behalf of the owner, as well as the Lürssen project team.”

PROJECT X - 88m (289ft)

Golden Yachts welcomed their latest addition to the fleet, Project X, in April of this year. Launched from the Vouliagmeni yard in Greece, she is the second-largest yacht to be crafted by the shipyard, following the highly-anticipated launch of 95m O’PARI in 2020.

The naval architecture was developed by Marco Yachts - she is built with a teak deck, a steel hull, and aluminium superstructure.

Her majestic exterior, characterised by cascading decks, a spacious open aft deck with a swimming pool and a distinctive "X" structure above a three-deck atrium makes her instantly recognisable thanks to British design studio Ken Freivokh.

Accommodation is split across seven guest cabins, plus a VIP cabin, and a generous owner’s suite. Over 150 materials have been hand-picked for her interior that spans the 3,000 GT vessel, including the finest of marbles, leathers and wood.

Other key features include a large gym on the sundeck filled with natural light, a beach club with a relaxed lounge space and bar, and tranquil spa facilities including a Hammam and Finnish sauna. The beach club is also adjacent to a garage, which houses the yacht’s Pedrazzini boat, the perfect toy for those who wish to explore.

In terms of speed, Project X boasts an impressive 6,000 nm mile range at a decent cruising speed of 14 knots, maxing out at 17.5 knots.

KENSHŌ - 74m (242ft)

Kenshō offers the unmissable chance to charter a brand new superyacht, having only launched this year.

Delivered by the Italian shipyard Admiral Yachts and featuring interior styling by Jouin Manku, she can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 8 cabins.

With an abundance of space and superlative amenities across her luxurious decks, you'll be spoilt for choice on a luxury yacht charter aboard Kensho. She has sensational features such as an elevator, underwater lights, beach club and gym.

Kensho offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests in 8 suites comprising a master suite, two VIP cabins, two twin cabins and three cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. A crew of twenty-three, who specialise in creating exceptional charters, are on hand to provide guests with a yacht charter vacation to remember.

Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull.

Onboard Kensho has a range of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay aboard.

SOARING - 68m (224ft)

Soaring measures 68.2 metres in length and has a beam of 11.90 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 1,541 tonnes.

Her exterior design and interior design is by Focus Yacht Design, who created an impressive design characterised by a harmonious and contemporary exterior and an elegant grey-white colour scheme.

Soaring’s signature aesthetic feature is a striking line which stretches for the entire length of the superyacht, from the bow to the swim platform. She also features naval architecture by Abeking & Rasmussen.

There is plenty of luxury amenities and activities for the Owner and their guests to immerse themselves in onboard Soaring. The lower deck hosts an expansive beach club with direct access to the swim platform, covering a total of 74sqm including the adjoining wellness centre.

Connected to the wellness centre through a lobby is the gym, which has been installed with a ballet barre and refreshment bar.

Soaring has a top speed of 16.20 knots, a cruising speed of 14.00 knots, a fuel capacity of 180 litres, and a water capacity of 39 litres.

In terms of accomodation, she can host up to 12 guests across 6 cabins, comprised of four 20sqm rooms: three doubles and one room with twin single beds, as well as one luxurious VIP room.

She also has a range of 4,500 nautical miles.

TRIUMPH - 65m (215ft)

Triumph is a custom motor yacht launched in 2021 by Benetti.

Launched in secrecy in early 2021, this unique vessel measures 65.00 metres in length, with a maximum draft of 3.3 feet and a beam of 11.2 feet. She has a gross tonnage of 1,350 tonnes and is complete with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.

Her exterior design is by Giorgio Maria Cassetta, whilst her interior design and naval architecture was penned by Benetti.

Giorgio M. Cassetta has excelled himself on Triumph's anything-but-discrete exterior. Large curved windows give the yacht a streamlined appearance to offset her formidable presence on the water.

Unlike previous Benetti launches in her size range, six decks of decadence make up her remarkably sleek profile, with an additional deck to be used as a sun-deck and fitted with jacuzzi. She can host up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, as well as up to 15 crew members.

Triumph boasts a top speed of 16.50 knots and a cruising speed of 15.00 knots. She also has a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

RIO - 62m (203ft)

CRN's Rio is is a sublime combination of imposing dimensions embodied in a sleek profile with an array of exquisite yet functional details.

Rio was designed and built by CRN in close collaboration with design and architecture studio Omega Architects, who created the exterior concept, and designers Pulina Exclusive Interiors for the interior styling. Her distinctive flowing, sporty lines form the leitmotif of the concepts developed by Frank Laupman and his Omega team.

With 4 decks and a subdeck, the layout will feature a double owner’s suite plus 6 cabins on the lower deck, including a VIP cabin, to accommodate up to 16 people on board.

The ample dining areas and the indoor and outdoor lounges are ideal places for enjoying relaxing moments in good company, while the generous windows add a real immediacy to the experience of the sea and the coast, in celebration of this new 62-metre vessel’s intrepid explorer spirit.

At 62m with an 11.2m beam, this 4-deck superyacht can host up to 12 guests across the span of 5 guest suites and an owner's suite; comprised of 2 full-beam VIPs – one on the main deck forward, the other on the lower deck – and 3 suites on the lower deck. The upper deck is the owner’s exclusive, private oasis that can also double as a social zone.

Rio is the perfect vessel for a shared cruising experience with family and close friends, with large, bright indoor and outdoor living areas. Her generous full height windows on the main and owner decks compliment her opulent exterior architecture, creating an encapsulating play of light and reflected shimmer from the water.

With only a matter of weeks to go until this year's show, we are certain that attendees and readers will be dazzled as we bring them the latest news from the most prestigious superyacht stage on earth.
