60m Heesen ULTRA G Close to Completion
Following her launch in February under the name PROJECT SKYFALL, Heesen's 60m ULTRA G has been photographed making her way to have her upper deck structure fitted in Greenport, Rotterdam. She is the perfect example of Heesen’s ability to build yachts to the smallest tolerances.
ULTRA G has been described as the ultimate expression of Heesen’s knowledge and experience gained over forty years, setting the precedent for her highly impressive design. Omega Architects are responsible for the exterior design and Van Oossanen Naval Architects were in charge of the engineering.
She has a phenomenal top speed of 37 knots, made achievable by four MTU 20V 4000 engines, driving four Kongsberg S90 waterjets. With the yacht's draft lowered to less than three metres, vibrations are reduced by 40 per cent. Combined with an efficient FDHF hull which will deliver a smooth ride and three gyro-stabilisers that will keep her comfortable at low speeds, the knowledge and experience that have inspired her creation are made evident, making her as comfortable as possible.
Her engineering is not the only aspect of her design to marvel at; ULTRA G’s layout is an exceptional example of luxury. She has the ability to accommodate up to ten guests as well as thirteen crew, making her a sociable build.
ULTRA G was built to entertain: with a custom wine fridge in the main saloon, a media room which is home to a Samsung The Wall screen, an elegant games table on the main deck forward, and an infinity pool facing aft on the sundeck making it an ideal area for receptions. Canine friends are also accommodated for, with the ‘relief-area’ being a notable feature; a self-flushing area on the side deck finished with synthetic grass, sensors, cameras and sprinklers.
The promotion of group entertainment does not impact the level of privacy for the owners. The master suite is an area of peace and quiet located on the bridge deck with a private terrace, a jacuzzi, large walk-in wardrobe and an ample bathroom with separate bath and shower.
