A Feat of Originality & Architectural Complexity: BEL1 Delivered by Rossinavi

By Frances Flannagan

Rossinavi has proudly announced the delivery of motor yacht BEL1: the Italian yard’s latest 50m superyacht. She boasts a spectacular design that optimises each individual space onboard, lending itself to impressive volumes, whilst bearing a sleek and modern profile.

BEL1 is the result of a fruitful collaboration between Rossinavi, Fulvio de Simoni Yacht Design, who oversaw the exteriors of this stunning 50m vessel, and Enrico Gobbi who envisioned her interiors.

The aim of her design was to create an innovative and unique style, marked by a strong personality. This has most definitely been achieved, as BEL1’s design optimises the expansive closed volumes and usability of open areas. Despite impressive spaces onboard, she has a modern and sleek appearance thanks to her high and imposing hull and seamlessly integrated superstructure.

‘M/Y BEL1, one of our full displacement aluminium yachts, is finally seeing the sea. In addition to a design inspired by sporty SUV cars, M/Y BEL1 offers an exceptionally large amount of both interior and exterior space in terms of square metres,’ commented Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi.

She features four cabins which are hosted on the lower deck, which is also home to the toy storage that can be accessed from the inside or outside. Moving onto the upper deck, the main highlight of this area is BEL1’s aft veranda. This space is completed with a dining area protected by sliding glass panels, allowing her Owner and guests to make the most of al fresco living.

BEL1 boasts an intimate beach club that is enclosed, however able to transform into a spacious terrace with folding sides. From here, the toy storage can be accessed, making this versatile space the perfect place for enjoying the sea.

The idea of privacy is echoed in the main deck cockpit, which also offers protected outdoor living. After passing through the lounge area, a dining area can be found that benefits from the sides of the main deck lounge, with opening balconies allowing for panoramic views.

Her superstructure has been extended, meaning that a 145 sqm sundeck has been added to BEL1, divided into a sunbathing area, shaded seating with a bar, a barbeque and a small pool. A highlight of her design, and an example of her exceptional technological features, is the retractable television that serves the bow and stern areas.

Those onboard will benefit from four stabiliser fins that increase stability and ensure comfortable navigation in all conditions. This comfort is extended into the interiors themselves, with a design that blends warmth and modernity with the utmost luxury.

Dark colours create an inviting and comforting atmosphere, with a subtle gradient throughout enhancing visual depth and elegance. The artistic focal point of BEL1 is the dramatic staircase that can be found in the lobby, constructed with honeycomb aluminium in a brass hue with a backlit panel.

BEL1 boasts an array of custom pieces and bespoke items that contribute to her unique design, with curated pieces from global artists acting as a consistent stylistic thread between interiors and exteriors.

‘We are extremely satisfied and proud of this project. Its originality and architectural complexity posed significant challenges, but it also allowed us to express our creativity by inventing new forms without compromising functionality or the enjoyment of life on board,’ commented Fulvio De Simoni, Founder of Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design.
