A Look at Nordhavn's Spectacular 2024 So Far

By Frances Flannagan

American yard Nordhavn has embarked on a wonderful first half of the calendar year, showcasing the very best of not only its stunning yachts, but the community that comes with owning one of its vessels. Superyachts.com takes a look at three of its recent announcements, including a successful Owners rendezvous and new images of two stunning yachts: LADY DI and a brand new N71.

2024 Nordhavn Owners Rendezvous

Between the 9th and 12th of May, a record-breaking number of Nordhavns and their Owners flocked to Poulsbo in Washington for the 2024 Owners Rendezvous. 58 yachts were in attendance, making it the biggest Nordhavn gathering to date: a spectacular event that was made even better with unbelievable weather by day and sightings of the Aurora Borealis at night.

The event was the result of the exceptional efforts of  three Nordhavn Owner volunteers, Jill and Don Bernard of N47 SLOW BURN and Bill Baker of N62 ROXIA, who have organised the last three rendezvous’.

Jill commented: ‘I thought the event went flawlessly due to the efforts of so many. The vendors, local businesses who catered the event, the Sons of Norway’s facilities and the Port of Poulsbo’s new marina all played an integral role.’

Alongside being an unparalleled opportunity for socialising with other enthusiastic Nordhavn Owners, the rendezvous was also the site for a cast of presenters who discussed a variety of industry topics: from engine room know-how to stabilisation. A few Owners even initiated their own break-out groups, with Dave Morris, a N47 Owner, leading a discussion on cruising Alaska, and Cori Wensley offering painting instructions from the cockpit of her Nordhavn 60.

The festivities concluded with a dinner and a raffle, which has become a major highlight of the event. The rendezvous was extremely successful, with Nordhavn Owners from across the globe bonding over a mutual admiration of the brand and relishing at being in the company of people who have a shared passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the yachting industry.

New Photos of N8003 LADY DI Revealed

42.84m LADY DI was delivered in November 2023 to Owners who had previously owned a Nordhavn 63. Following her delivery, LADY DI completed her maiden voyage from Nordhavn HQ in Dana Point, California, to the Sea of Cortez. She remained there all winter and has now returned to Dana Point as the summer season approaches.

New shots of this beautiful vessel reveal her stylish and modern interiors penned by Vripack; characterised by neutral colours that are complemented by sophisticated stylings of marble and rich shades of blue and teal to reflect the ocean. She sports a robust profile and a tri-deck layout: her gleaming white hull and superstructure standing out on the water.

Photographs of a Brand New N71

Following new images of LADY DI, Nordhavn has also unveiled new interior and running shots of the brand-new N71, which is still under commission.

This model follows in the wake of the Nordhavn 80 as an elegant, contemporary, state-of-the-art vessel. She has a LOA of 21.9m and is perfect for Owners who wish for the aesthetic of one of the shipyard’s larger yachts but want to manage without crew.

She benefits from intelligent configurations of space, a spacious dining room and Owner’s cabin, and expansive windows to connect those onboard to their environment. A highly individual vessel, the N71 is able to reflect her Owner’s personal preferences, as they can customise her interior decor and stylings as they wish.

The new images reveal this N71 to boast a luxurious and inviting interior, with dark wood attributing the spaces a homely and comfortable feel. Dappled grey marble pervades throughout, offering a rich contrast to the neutral-coloured walls and floorings. She features a stunning interplay between luxury and comfort, showcasing the very best of Nordhavn design.
