A Seamless Blend of Beauty and Performance: Heesen Yachts Delivers 50m ALP

By Frances Flannagan

Heesen Yachts has proudly announced the successful delivery of YN 20350, now christened M/Y ALP. She is the perfect blend of beauty and comfort with incredible performance capabilities, boasting an impressive top speed of 23 knots and offering a unique yachting experience for her Owner.

Since completing rigorous sea trials in the North Sea, ALP has been berthed in Hellevoetsluis in South Holland in preparation for her maiden voyage. She belongs to the Dutch yard’s successful 50m semi-displacement series, part of the below 500GT segment. She can accommodate up to 12 guests across five staterooms, and a crew of nine in five cabins.

Mark Cavendish, CCO at Heesen, commented: ‘This time-honoured maritime tradition not only forges a bond between the vessel, the shipyard, the crew, and the sea but also invokes a sense of pride and anticipation for ALP’s future journeys. On behalf of everyone at Heesen, I would like to express our gratitude to Jim Evans and his team at Superyachts Monaco for their exceptional collaboration on this project.’

Her exterior lines have been penned by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, exuding speed and sportiness whilst retaining an undeniable elegance. ALP boasts an impressive top speed of 23 knots, delivering a unique yachting experience as she features wonderful performance capabilities, comfort and luxury, all whilst fitted with state-of-the-art technology.

ALP is the result of innovative engineering and meticulous aluminium construction and weight calculation, Heesen being one of the few shipyards in the world that can build aluminium hulls in-house.

Cristianto Gatto’s team and Heesen’s in-house engineers collaborated on her luxurious interiors, designed for a discerning Owner with high expectations. ALP’s interior is contemporary yet comfortable, spanning almost 380 sqm and offering an oasis after a thrilling day on the water.

Alongside stunning interior spaces, ALP features generous outdoor areas to entertain guests at sea. She has a spacious sundeck that includes a whirlpool surrounded by sunpads aft, a fully equipped bar and an al fresco dining area, partially covered by a hardtop so her Owner and guests can make the most of outdoor living regardless of the weather.

A second al fresco dining spot can be found on the wheelhouse deck aft terrace, which features sliding doors that seamlessly connect it to the sky lounge, creating a beautiful indoor/outdoor space.

ALP features various innovative design features to enhance the onboard experience; an elevated relaxation area on the main deck, for example, guarantees privacy for the guests when docked. This layout also allows for a full-height beach club to be situated just below: a desirable space by the sea.

Her shallow draft of just 2.1m makes ALP the ideal vessel to explore world-class locations such as the Bahamas, whilst her length makes her perfect for docking in Mediterranean ports.

Superyachts.com would like to congratulate Heesen on the delivery of the beautiful motor yacht ALP, who has now left the Netherlands as she embarks on her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean.
