Aegean Yacht Delivers First Hull from New 26m Aegean Explorer Series
Aegean Yacht has delivered the first unit from its brand-new 26m Aegean Explorer series: UKIEL. Designed entirely in-house by the Turkish shipyard, the new series has already been well received by the market, with the second hull under construction and due to launch in 2023.
Offering its clients over 50 years of experience, extensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of an owner’s needs, Aegean Yacht has once again combined all these impressive qualities to create a masterpiece within the 26m UKIEL.
With naval architecture, design and marine engineering all handled by the Aegean Yacht design office and engineers, the new explorer series has already proven to be a popular design on the market: offering qualities not often seen in an explorer yacht of its size.
As the first unit from the Aegean Explorer series, UKIEL represents an exquisite vessel as the original, new explorer from the Turkish yard.
With several spacious areas both inside and out, for relaxing or entertaining friends or family, UKIEL offers high levels of comfort and Turkish luxury. Her robust steel hull and aluminium superstructure, alongside an impressive nautical range of over 3,500 nm, make her the ideal vessel for long stays and traversing to some of the most remote places in the world.
Comfortably accommodating 12 guests across three master suites, one VIP and two twin cabins, the 26m offers a grand onboard experience for her guests. A notable highlight of her accommodation is the upper deck master stateroom, which boasts a private aft terrace with an exclusive sunbathing & lounging area.
UKIEL's interiors also boast a minimalistic, elegant atmosphere, attentively finished in warm oak furniture, stylish parquet flooring and white lacquered ceilings. She has a beam of 6.9m, a draft of 2.1m and a volume of 187 GT. Powered by two MAN 650 HP engines, UKIEL is able to reach a maximum speed of 12.7 knots. There is accommodation for four crew in four single-bed cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Alongside announcing the delivery of the first hull, Aegean Yacht has revealed that the second hull from the 26m explorer series is already under construction at the yard’s Bodrum facilities, and is due to be launched in the late summer next year. The Turkish yard also has two other yachts under construction, with its flagship 66m HAIFA expected to hit the water next year as well.
Superyachts.com would like to congratulate Aegean Yacht on yet another successful delivery and we are looking forward to keeping our readers up to date with the latest news from the yard over the coming year.
