Benetti's 2021 Launches in Review
From world-class models to fully-fledged gigayachts, no one can launch new superyachts like Benetti. Off the back of a particularly productive few weeks for the Viareggio-based shipyard, we took the time to review the superyachts already launched by Benetti so far this year.
65m PROJECT VOGUE - FB270
Under cover of ultimate secrecy, Benetti’s highly anticipated 65m FB270 - also known as Project Vogue - hit the water sometime this year. Touted as the first superyacht to be built by Benetti under China Classification Society and to fly the Chinese flag, FB270 marked a significant benchmark for the yard’s expansion into the promising Asian market.
35m SUNRISE - Mediterraneo 116 - BM009
Just a few weeks into 2021 and kicking off the year in style, Benetti launched the ninth unit of its popular Mediterraneo 116 series. The 35.3m luxury yacht SUNRISE embraces a timeless exterior coupled with clean, modern interior spaces for an all-round appeal.
40m JOY - Oasis 40m
A spectacle of design and innovation, the second unit of Benetti’s Oasis 40M series M/Y Joy left the Livorno yard in late March this year. The fibreglass yacht featured a series of custom features, and was built for a first-time Benetti owner.
29m Delfino 95 - BD111
Consolidating the commercial success of Benetti’s wide range of semi-custom models, Joy’s launch was soon followed by the departure of a 29m Delfino 95 - the eleventh unit in the popular range. BD111 was penned by long-time Benetti design partner Giorgio M. Cassetta, and is the fourth Azimut | Benetti yacht built for yacht co-ownership company SeaNet Europe Ltd.
65m ZAZOU
Just a few weeks later, the 65m full custom superyacht Zazou left Benetti’s construction shed, built for a repeat Benetti customer. Sporting an elegant carinthia blue hull and Giorgio M. Casetta exterior design, Zazou’s luxurious amenities include gym, 5-metre swimming pool and outdoor cinema on top of another cinema area on the Main Deck.
48m HAWA
Another full custom launch soon followed Zazou, this time a 48m yacht designed inside and out by UK-based studio RWD dubbed HAWA. Bright rooms, refined interiors and luxury finishes define this sophisticated superyacht, as well as an impressive interior volume compared to other yachts in the same size range.
