Bilgin Yachts Launches Groundbreaking 42m Explorer Yacht KAŞIF

Bilgin Yachts has launched its latest masterpiece KAŞIF, marking a significant milestone for the shipyard. She is the first vessel to emerge from the new Antalya facility, paving the way for future projects, with plans underway for the construction of 52 and 60 metre yachts at the facility.

Whilst reminiscent of the renowned 50m series, KAŞIF redefines both design and performance, presenting an exceptional blend of comfort, quality, and modernity, epitomising Bilgin’s commitment to pushing boundaries. 

Her appearance is sporty and dynamic with modern lines, following the design qualities that the shipyard cherishes. Her name translates to ‘explorer’, every detail of her design encapsulating the essence of exploration. 

Emrecan Özgün from Unique Yacht Design, who penned her exterior, has commented: ‘Kaşif embodies the true spirit of an explorer. Engineered for exceptional maritime performance, it navigates even the harshest conditions with unmatched comfort. The hull, derived from the acclaimed 80-metre series, delivers remarkable efficiency, consuming minimal fuel while achieving impressive speed.’

The interior design was overseen by Enrico Lumini of Hot Lab, who has given an insight into the creative journey behind her design: ‘Our collaboration transcended traditional client-designer relationships, evolving into insightful discussions that shaped every facet of the design. The result is a modern yet timeless aesthetic, seamlessly blending contemporary geometries with elements reflecting the owners' passion.’

Lumini has described each deck to be ‘adorned with a distinct and harmonious style’, with pastel hues gracing the lower deck cabins and a rich burgundy palette used in the main saloon. Kaşif’s layout includes a large owner’s cabin on the main deck alongside three VIP cabins and two twin cabins with a total of two living areas.

Öxgün commented, ‘Kaşif redefines the explorer concept, setting a new trend in modern yacht design…As a precursor to the Bilgin 50 series, it introduces a new segment in yacht manufacturing, a testament to Bilgin's continuous evolution.’
