Building Nations Premiere: The Official Round-Up
On Thursday the 16th January, Superyachts.com showcased its brand-new documentary ‘Building Nations’ for the very first time. Guests enjoyed a black-tie dinner and watched a ‘Supercut’ of all four episodes, gaining a glimpse into the exciting series that will be released in Spring 2025.
Last week, the May Fair hotel transformed into an exclusive superyacht industry cinema, as press and industry figureheads from around the world joined Superyachts.com for the Building Nations premiere, sponsored by Edmiston.
Building Nations is the latest documentary by Superyachts.com; it is a four-part docuseries that showcases the hidden faces of the superyacht industry, spanning 17 companies across five continents.
We were lucky to welcome eight of the companies involved in the documentary to London for this event: Bering Yachts, Damen Yachting, Echo Yachts, Gulf Craft Group, KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild, Oceanco, Ocean Alexander and Westport Yachts.
Following an afternoon screening with press and an informal lunch, over 150 guests arrived at the May Fair in black-tie for a lavish evening event. After drinks, dinner and speeches, attendees took their places in the cinema for the second screening of the day.
As the lights went down and the music started playing, everyone in the audience knew that they were about to experience something special. This whistle-stop tour of the documentary shed light on each company, each yacht-building nation, and the themes that are at the crux of the series: passion, pride, family and an unwavering love of superyachts.
Speaking on the 'Supercut' that was shown, Alexander Souabni, Global Head of Marketing for Gulf Craft Group commented: 'The big takeaway was the importance of the industry, and the multifaceted nature of the superyacht industry as a whole.'
After the evening premiere, the series’ stars and the rest of the guests headed to the bar and rooftop terrace for an exclusive afterparty. This lively celebration was the perfect reflection of our industry: one filled with excitement and inspiration.
