Cannes Yachting Festival 23': The Largest Yachts Attending
With the Cannes Yachting Festival kicking off tomorrow, we take a look at the three largest yachts which will be attending. From Wider Yachts’ 47m BARTALI to Amels’ 55m STEP ONE, discover the largest superyachts that are a must-visit during the show.
This year, the Cannes Yachting Festival is back, with over 700 yachts on display, and 130 world premieres. The renowned show has taken place since 1977 on the beautiful bay of Cannes and kicks off the start of the yacht show season. This year, the three largest boats range from 47 to 55 metres, a stunning selection of vessels from Wider Yachts, Baglietto and Amels.
BARTALI - 47.05m - Wider Yachts
BARTALI is a stunning 47m motor yacht that is for sale with Moravia. She was built in 2016, with Fulvio de Simoni penning her exteriors and BB/Designer responsible for her interiors. She is able to accommodate 10+1 guests in five cabins and nine crew members. A multi-award winning yacht, she is set to dazzle on the bay of Cannes.
She has been hailed for her clever use of space, interior volume, and operational efficiencies, all whilst having a modern look with the sophisticated flair of Italian style. BARTALI has a spacious sun deck, with a jacuzzi and sun loungers, as well as a foredeck lounge with a cinema setup, an alfresco dining area, and a beach club.
Her diesel electric propulsion system not only minimises noise and vibration, ensuring the most tranquil experience on board as possible but also significantly reduces fuel consumption, lessening her impact on the environment. Having flair whilst also being eco-friendly makes BARTALI an appealing yacht to purchase, and her appearance at Cannes is not one to be missed.
T52 - 52m - Baglietto
Presented this year at Portofino as a world premiere, the first model of Baglietto T52 with hybrid propulsion is set to stun attendees at Cannes this year. She marks a crucial step in the shipyard’s path towards sustainable yachting, showing her to be a flagship for Baglietto in terms of eco-conscious yachting.
She is contemporary and distinctive, with the lines penned by Francesco Paszkowski reinterpreting the classical design elements of the Italian shipyard’s traditional steel displacement yachts.
‘The T52 designed for Baglietto offers extremely comfortable exteriors and truly impressive volumes, allowing guests to enjoy life in the open air to the fullest. Two examples, in addition to the spacious sun deck, can be found at the bow, with the passerelle connecting the sun deck and the upper deck to create a huge, almost uninterrupted space, and in the aft part of the main deck’, commented Francesco Paszkowski, Founder of Francesco Paszkowski Design.
Furthermore, the T52 has a 24m sundeck, which is unmatched on a vessel of this size, showing another innovative feature of her design. A recent and significant launch, the presence of the T52 at Cannes is an exciting addition to the show.
STEP ONE - 55m - Amels
The first Amels 180, STEP ONE is the largest yacht to attend the Cannes Yachting Festival this year. Her sundeck is one of the largest on the water for a yacht of this size at 155 square metres, highlighting the impressive use of space. She has a large swim platform in the beach club, alongside a full beam master suite and two open-plan salons.
She was designed by Laura Sessa who has penned her interior to be light and bright, with accents of colour and abundant natural light beautifully framing the views outside. STEP ONE is chic, sophisticated and contemporary, designed for both relaxation and entertainment.
The potential for discovery is limitless with STEP ONE, a touch-and-go helipad furthering explorations from the sea to the sky. This flagship feature emphasises her spectacular nature and, coupled with a 2.5 million USD refit, makes STEP ONE a highly impressive attendee of the Cannes Yachting Festival.
These three impressive yachts are certainly not to be missed at the Cannes Yachting Festival which kicks off tomorrow on the 12th of September and will run to Sunday the 17th of September.
