Damen Yachting’s Second Amels 80 Enters Outfitting Phase

On August 5th, the latest 80 metre vessel from Damen Yachting departed from the shipyard’s facility in Galatz, as she made her way to Vlissegen. Here she will begin her outfitting phase, and will join her sister vessel who is already in this part of her construction process. 

‘We are thrilled to commence the outfitting phase for this new Amels 80, which arrived from our Galatz shipyard in Romania,’ commented Jan von Hogerwou, Commercial Executive at Damen Yachting. ‘This is an exciting step towards delivering another exceptional yacht on schedule for May 2026.’

This vessel will continue the highly acclaimed tradition of blending customisation, a proven technological platform and efficiency: a favourite amongst yacht Owners across the globe. She features exterior design by Espen Oeino, interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and Naval Architecture by Damen Yachting. 

14 guests will be able to be accommodated onboard, alongside 20 crew members plus the Captain. Despite little information being revealed about this vessel, the first hull of the Amels 80 model serves as a stunning example of the exceptional nature and endless possibilities of the design. 

Hull number one represents the pinnacle of Damen design from the inside and out, featuring highlights including a waterside beach club, a helicopter landing pad and a wellness and spa area, beautifully mirrored in the interiors which have been designed with a unique colour palette and a selection of unique, natural materials.
