Damen Yachting’s Sixth Amels 60 Hits the Water

By Frances Flannagan

Damen Yachting has announced that the latest Amels 60 superyacht has been launched, just five months after the fifth hull hit the water. Her eye-catching blue exterior sets the tone for this spectacular yacht: a vessel marked by beauty and innovation, boasting a striking presence on the sea.

Following the launch of the fifth Amels 60 in February this year, the sixth yacht from the next generation of Limited Editions has successfully been launched. She boasts a forward-thinking design based on the impeccable craftsmanship and proven platform of Damen Yachting’s naval architecture.

Espen Oeino has penned her elegant and innovative exterior design, set to capture the undivided attention of onlookers as she brandishes a striking blue hull. Her full custom interior has been overseen by Winch Design at the Owner’s request.

Whilst details on her interior design have been kept tightly under wraps, we can only assume that it will bear some similarities to her stunning predecessor. Able to accommodate 12 guests like this latest yacht, the fifth Amels 60 was designed with a focus on the feeling of space to enhance the onboard experience.

She’s fitted with the show-stopping elements of a large sun deck, swim platform and folding Owner’s suite balcony, and we can expect the sixth hull to be equipped with just as spectacular features.

Paul Deurloo, Project Manager at Damen Yachting, commented: ‘It’s always an exciting moment to see the yacht coming out of the shed in all her glory. The spectacular colour of this hull will certainly stand out!’

This stunning vessel will undergo final outfitting at the Damen yard in Vlissingen, scheduled for delivery at the end of 2024.
