Denison Yachting's New and Exclusive Listings of Aegean Yachts

By Frances Flannagan

Denison Yachting has announced its exclusive listing of two vessels from Aegean Yacht: 26m Explorer Hull #2 and 37m Project TEMPEST, who is currently under construction. A pocket superyacht and yet another spectacular design from Riza Tansu, these two yachts represent an exciting partnership between the international brokerage and the Turkish shipyard.

In light of Denison’s new partnership with Aegean yachts across the 26m Explorer Hull #2 and 37m Project TEMPEST, Jeremy Roche, Director of Denison Europe commented: ‘We are delighted to partner with Aegean Yacht across these two very different yachts. The 26m is a genuine pocket superyacht, unique among its competitive set, with an incredible layout that allows for six guest cabins but also the accommodations for the crew–four individual cabins–to be able to offer the service expected. The 37m, Project TEMPEST, is the newest yacht from Riza Tansu, whose unique style has been imitated but never bettered. I have been a huge fan of these yachts, with the laid back, minimalistic interior beach club style, since I went on board Bartender in 2011.’

Although very different, both yachts that Denison has listed are remarkable vessels, offering exceptional entertainment and relaxation opportunities for guests on board.

26m Explorer Hull #2

The first unit of this new line of explorer yachts, which is on display at Cannes Yachting Festival, was launched in 2022, Hull #2 scheduled for delivery in summer 2024. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a general arrangement that is intelligently designed, boasting generous interior volumes. She can accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins, which include three full-beam master suites.

Large windows on all sides of the main deck create a light and airy atmosphere, offering comfortable dining for guests. Her interiors remain understated, whilst exuding a warmth and elegance that contributes to a comforting atmosphere, warm oak furniture and parquet floors with stainless steel accents featuring within the design.

There are multiple areas outside for guests to enjoy, a comfortable seating and sunbathing area located on the main deck forward. Comfort is key within her design, her hull and superstructure also ensuring a stable ride with excellent handling at sea. She can achieve a maximum speed of almost 13 knots, with a range of over 3500 nm. Her huge storage areas combined with individual cabins for the crew members mean that she is an ideal vessel for long journeys to unique and remote destinations.

37m Project TEMPEST

A hull of the famous Tigershark series, Project TEMPEST is the embodiment of Riza Tansu’s philosophy of ‘form follows function.’ Like the Explorer Hull #2, she is steel hulled with an aluminium superstructure, zero speed stabilisers and unrestricted navigation compliance, making her not only a comfortable vessel, but also completely autonomous.

The room configuration features a full-beam owner’s suite, two doubles and two twin cabins. The owner's suite is a highlight of her design, with its own private office and his and hers bathrooms. The interior represents Tansu’s laid back Beach House style, with wooden flooring, light surfaces and a contemporary feel blended with pure geometric form to be expected in the design.

The exterior spaces are remarkable, with a huge open aft deck play area that has the ability to accommodate two large tenders contrasting the intimate spaces that are located towards the main salon. An inside/outside living experience is central to the design, protecting guests from the elements whilst allowing for almost uninterrupted views.

The sun deck features a large bar and dining table which showcases the sociable aspects of TEMPEST’s design, whilst sun lounging areas enable those on board to relax and connect with the sea. Tansu’s exterior is truly a study in engineering purity, whilst exuding power and ruggedness. TEMPEST is currently under construction, set to be completed in June 2025.
