ENTOURAGE: Amels 60 Custom Interiors Revealed

The 60-metre superyacht features exterior design by renowned Monaco-based studio, Espen Øino International, and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. The interiors of each Amels 60 are uniquely designed for the respective Owner, with the Owner of ENTOURAGE selecting Canadian studio Burdifilek to create a luxurious and serene interior.

This represented Burdifilek’s first superyacht project, and it is clear to see that the studio has worked impeccably to the Owner’s brief to fulfil the vision of a tranquil and elegant home at sea.

“The Owner knew exactly how he wanted to entertain and how he wanted the flow through the spaces to be,”explains Diego Burdi, co-founder of Burdifikel. Burdi’s impressive portfolio includes the W Hotel, New York’s Club Monaco, and some of the world’s most dynamic commercial environments.

“When the sun sets, the yacht transforms, shifting from day to night, evoking a completely different feeling.

“The unique opportunity led us on a journey of exploration where every design aspect of the yacht was considered at the highest level. Conceived as a floating oasis of luxury, the interiors are a playground of timeless elegance, ultimate comfort with a sense of peace conveyed through a monochromatic palette.”

Burdi’s impressive portfolio includes the W Hotel, New York’s Club Monaco, and some of the world’s most dynamic commercial environments.

The Owner onboard ENTOURAGE will benefit from an extra-large suite on the Main Deck which features a fold-down balcony, lounge area, two bathrooms, and a neighbouring twin-bed guest suite. Four more suites are found on the Lower Deck and the yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in total, with 13 crew also onboard.

Burdifilek reversed the structure of the staircase onboard this Amels 60 to develop a more eye-catching and spacious passage. “I think the staircase is beautiful and very innovative,” shares Arie Midavaine, Project Manager at Damen Yachting. “The structure is on the outside and tucked away – which is substantially different than previous models and gives much more space to move around. The ceiling are also beautiful and are free of domes, a feature that the Owner brought in from this experience in real estate.”

An extensive Sun Deck provides guests with a great sense of freedom to enjoy the outdoor environment, with the area lengthened by 1.5 metres aft to allow for a jacuzzi pool surrounded by sun pads, a large bar, BBQ, and alfresco dining area.

“At the request of the Owner, we extended the Bridge and Sun Deck aft, which has impacted the use of these three decks in such a positive way that we decided to implement this change for all future builds,” reveals Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s Commercial Executive North America.

“It is an extremely well-optimised design,” adds Espen Øino of Espen Øino International. “Together with the Amels team we invested a lot of time fine-tuning the Amels 60 design, really looking back at the Limited Editions past, talking to clients. She looks beautiful.”

ENTOURAGE’s Owner worked closely with Amels and build supervisors Moran Yacht & Ship to customise the project and utilise Damen Yachting’s well-balanced Limited Editions technical platform and fast build time. The Owner also opted to make a notable change to the exterior styling, replacing the signature angular windows with a seamless stream of windows.

“We are very proud of the many customisations we were able to implement into this platform, which is a testament to the Damen Yachting engineering and production team,” says Sean Moran, Managing Director of Moran Yacht & Ship.

Having been represented by Moran Yacht & Ship in the original sale, the Owner appointed the US brokerage house to continue its involvement as the charter Central Agent for ENTOURAGE. “The input from Moran Yacht & Ship has led to an even better yacht,” adds Arie Midavaine, Damen Yachting Project Manager.
