EXTRA Yachts Unveils the X100 Triplex: The Latest Generation of the Line
Presented as a natural evolution of the EXTRA Line, EXTRA Yachts has unveiled its latest generation project: the X100 Triplex. This model is defined by various flexible layouts and features, ensuring that Owners can truly implement their lifestyle onboard this spacious tri-deck vessel.
The X100 Triplex features exterior lines by Studio Agon and interiors penned by Laura Brocchini, with its naval engineering overseen by EXTRA Yachts. This 28m, tri-deck vessel required a meticulous study on the balance of proportions to achieve the higher bow associated with explorer vessels. Whilst developing the platform, the shipyard was also committed to ensure that the internal volumes of the X100 Triplex mirrored that of a yacht over 40m, a significant effort placed on the dimensions of the exterior decks in particular.
Large floor-to-ceiling windows are a beautiful leitmotif throughout the yacht, found on the main and upper decks as well as the Owner’s cabin. Not only do these additions promote awe-inspiring views, they also allow for those onboard to truly become immersed in the outdoor environment: an example of the ways in which the notion of ‘exploration’ is optimised across many elements of the X100 Triplex’s design.
The idea of seamless, flowing views is implemented in the layout of the yacht itself, with the stairway leading to the upper deck located in the middle of the cockpit to ensure that flows are not obstructed on board.
Her interiors are beautifully modern, defined by natural tones of wood with detailings in metallic grey. The Owner’s cabin is located on the main deck, boasting access to the office, a vanity, a double-sink bathroom and a spacious wardrobe. The remaining cabins are situated below deck, configured as two VIPs and two twins, each featuring a private bathroom.
The X100 Triplex’s outdoor spaces are spectacular, with the sun deck offering a large bar, sunbathing areas, and a dining table that can seat up to 10 people. This flexible layout provides a plethora of options, enabling guests to personalise the design, examples being a jacuzzi fitted at the bow or a stern lifting platform for the tender.
Her interiors are just as versatile, with three different arrangements on offer to Owners. One such layout is the galley to be situated on the main deck and the pantry on the upper deck, or vice versa.
The X100 Triplex is powered by two MAN engines, capable of reaching speeds of up to 15.5 knots. An optional version is also available with engines of a higher hp, guaranteeing a maximum speed of 18 knots: yet another way in which this model can be tailored to suit her Owner's tastes and preferences.
