By Zoe Coughlan

2024 has been a monumental year for Feadship, with the legendary shipyard pushing the boundaries of innovation in the world of superyachts. The Dutch yard's Chief Marketing Officer Farouk Nefzi and Commerical Director Bas Nederpelt discussed Feadship's impressive new entries into the Top 100 list, showing how the shipyard is leading the charge in both the world's largest vessels as well as sustainable yachting.

One of the most exciting innovations to come from Feadship this year is Project 821, a 118m pioneering superyacht which has revolutionised the industry. As the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered yacht, she represents a significant leap towards Feadship’s goal of achieving net-zero, a target which the shipyard is passionate about and continuously working towards. This highly anticipated yacht involves an extraordinary collaboration across various industries.

Farouk Nefzi, Chief Marketing Officer, commented: ‘A project like this includes all types of disciplines from all types of crafts. If you include our workers and all of our partners [...] you could go up to more than 1000 people’.

Looking toward the future, Feadship has already set its sights on the next wave of launches. Project 824 and Project 1013 are two exciting new entries set to launch in 2025, both aimed at providing the ultimate yacht experience for their owners. Once these two vessels are on the water, they will both be entered into the Top 100 list, a fantastic feat for Feadship and a testament to its unwavering dedication to delivering the most impressive yachts in the world.

With the delivery of recent projects and the exciting launches planned for 2025, Feadship’s sustainable future in the yachting industry looks bright.

Nefzi commented: ‘Our net-zero goal has been established to weaponize ourself to work on this achievement and if you look at what we have been delivering, you can follow the flow of solution we have put in place [...] it is not only a necessity but to make sure Feadship is future-proof for the next generations.’

As the superyacht industry continues to evolve, Feadship is setting the pace, proving that sustainability and luxury can coexist in harmony.
