By Frances Flannagan

As the 64th edition of the world’s largest boat show is just around the corner, we take a look at everything to expect from this spectacular show. With a variety of exceptional opportunities for attendees, everyone is catered for at FLIBS.

From October 25th to 29th in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) will take place. An unparalleled experience promising a plethora of innovations and luxury, it is certainly a yachting event not to be missed. FLIBS, which is owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and produced by Informa Markets, takes place across seven locations, each offering unique experiences for attendees.

Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets, commented: ‘FLIBS 2023 invites guests to immerse themselves in a sensory voyage, where cutting-edge design, state-of-the-art technology, and sustainable initiatives converge to redefine the future of boating.’

Serving as a hub for both boating enthusiasts and Florida’s economy alike, FLIBS is an integral part of the Sunshine State’s calendar year. It has an economic impact of $1.79 billion with over 100,000 attendees, 1,000 exhibiting brands and more than 1300 boats on display. In addition to showcasing some of the world’s most spectacular vessels, there is a whole host of varying activities to explore.

The Windward VIP Club has been described as an ‘opulent oasis’, an exclusive retreat providing gourmet food and an open bar. This is available for VIP ticket holders, who will have access to the show one hour early and receive a one-of-a-kind gift bag. To continue the sensational food offerings, over 100 food concessions and satellite bars contribute to the culinary experience at FLIBS, ensuring that everyone's palette is catered for.

The Nautical Ventures’ AquaZone is an engaging and exciting exhibition designer to give attendees a personal experience with various watersports and innovative marine products. This addition partnered with the educational seminars led by industry experts shows how the event provides a holistic yachting experience: from hands-on exhibitions to educational events.

Everyone is catered for at FLIBS, including young boat-lovers as there is a dedicated Kids Corner located at the Broward County Convention Centre. It is the ultimate family-friendly experience, with marine arts and crafts, face painting and fishing clinics.

The Florida Panthers Foundation has been named as the beneficiary for this year’s edition of FLIBS, supporting the show’s mission to continue to benefit the South Florida community.

As the show draws nearer, anticipations are rising for what is set to be another unforgettable Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Keep your eyes out for more FLIBS content on the Superyachts.com website.
