From the Dock to the Deep Blue: Sixth Amels 60 Makes Her Debut on the Water

By Frances Flannagan

Following her launch in July 2024, the sixth Amels 60 has successfully completed her first sea trials. Her striking blue hull was captivating on the water, representing the best of both Amels’ powerful heritage, and the future of superyacht construction.

Making a stunning debut out on the open water, the successful completion of her first sea trials places the sixth Amels 60 in spectacular standing ahead of her delivery. The design was first introduced to the industry in 2019, setting new standards in superyacht construction.

Paul Deurloo, Project Manager at Damen Yachting, commented: ‘Seeing the boat on the water is always a sight to behold for everyone involved. The successful collaboration of so many talented and passionate people has brought us to this milestone, making her first sea trial extra special.’

She features an Espen Oeino exterior, and a Winch Design interior, able to accommodate 12 guests and 12 crew members plus the Captain.

The award-winning model is a stunning representation of the fusion between Amels’ heritage and legacy with modern, cutting-edge technology. Although little detail has been revealed about this yacht, we can only anticipate the sixth Amels 60 to be just as luxurious as her predecessors, fitted with impeccable design features and state-of-the-art technology.

The fourth hull of the model, for example, was delivered in January, and is characterised by the feeling of space. She boasts an array of standout features, including the Limited Editions’ signature spacious sundeck, a large swim platform and a lavish Owner’s suite.

This beautiful vessel will remain quayside until her delivery, which is scheduled for later this year.
