Lurssen’s 160m Project Blue Spotted on Sea Trials

By Emily Dawkins

The largest superyacht of 2022, 160m Project Blue, has left Lurssen's facilities in Bremen to begin her sea trials. She is pictured here in Bremerhaven, making her way out to sea.

Launched in the early hours of the 24th February, 160m Blue is Lurssen’s latest superyacht project; now spotted leaving Bremerhaven for her first set of sea trials. After hitting the water in February, she lies fifth in the Top 100 global rankings (defined by size), pushing Lurssen's 156m Dilbar into sixth.

With little known about Project Blue, the German shipyard has certainly kept the 160m custom motor yacht very close to the chest, revealing minimal details about her size and specifications. However, it is believed that Terrance Disdale is responsible for designing the sleek, white vessel: making her profile a timeless masterpiece.

Visible from the shore, a large bow helipad, vast outdoor areas and spacious aft swim platform, set the tone for what is expected to be an extremely impressive interior.

We are looking forward to seeing her delivery, now expected to be later this year.
