Mengi Yay Successfully Launches First Serenissima 1 Superyacht

By Frances Flannagan

Mengi Yay has proudly announced that the first 47m Serenissima 1 has hit the water. This project is the result of a harmonious collaboration between three notable Turkish, Italian and Dutch brands, marking the start of an exciting future for Mengi Yay as it aligns itself with some of Europe’s most recognisable names.

The Serenissima 1 has been meticulously designed for an experienced yacht Owner, with both her interior and exterior design crafted by Nuvolari Lenard. She features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure created by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, as she beautifully blends unique Turkish craftsmanship, stunning Italian design and unmatched Dutch engineering.

This collaboration marks the beginning of highly exciting future developments for Mengi Yay, as the Turkish yard increases its global presence within the industry. The Serenissima 1 features a larger deck and interior spaces suited for the Mediterranean, embodying the style and sophistication that one would expect from a much larger vessel.

Whilst making important moves for the future of the shipyard, Mengi Yay retains its heritage and tradition that characterises its designs. The Turkish yard is now in the hands of the third generation of owners, who employ the same passion for production that has been passed down in a sustainable manner.

The Serenissima 1 is the perfect yacht to represent Mengi Yay’s experience and expertise, as this striking vessel offers a wonderful opportunity for an Owner wishing to explore everything that the oceans have to offer. She promises the luxury and quality of a 60 metre vessel in a smaller package, all whilst offering intelligent engineering solutions, an impressive range, and spacious interiors.

The first Serenissima 1 will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024.
