MYS 2023: A Taste of Antigua & Barbuda in Monaco
On the Thursday evening of the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show, visitors of the Superyachts.com stand were transported to the Caribbean for one night only to experience a slice of the twin island paradise that is Antigua & Barbuda.
The annual Antigua & Barbuda English Harbour Rum Party kicked off in style as the traditional rum punch flowed and the funky trumpet tunes filled Port Hercules in Monaco.
Marking a close to the second day of the yacht show, guests were invited to witness a flavour of the exceptional culture, friendly faces and vibrant atmosphere that Antigua & Barbuda offer to those visiting the destination by superyacht.
A carnival dancer and traditional madras clothing, alongside an impressive number of Antiguan flags, provided a beautifully colourful setting for the evening seemingly far away from the Mediterranean.
For the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, the fun evening was about so much more than just having an unforgettable party, but about showing the exceptional opportunities available on the islands for superyachts.
Who better to provide an insight into island life, than Cherrie Osborne, Director of Tourism for UK & Europe, Alan Hosam, Deputy Chairman, Devin Joesph, Chairman of the Yachting & Sailing Committee from the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority and Mistie Perry-Jackson, Operations Officer from the Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit.
Not only celebrating the island, the party was also a celebration for the recently launched two-part series The FAM TRIP: Antigua & Barbuda. In a reality format never before seen in the industry, the series shines a light on the perfect inland charter itinerary for superyacht owners.
In a brand-new marketing campaign for The FAM TRIP, superyacht brokers were invited to offer their insight into Part One of the series, before being entered into a remarkable prize draw which saw prizes from traditional English Harbour rum, to an incredible main prize of two flights from London to Antigua and one night in the five-star resort of Carlisle Bay.
Undoubtedly, this amazing celebration transported guests of the Monaco Yacht Show to the Caribbean for a single evening, yet for superyacht owners, charterers and enthusiasts, the experience doesn't need to stop there.
