MYS 2023: Carla Guilhem Design Breaks into New Areas

The interview began with Carla Guilhem herself explaining Carla Guilhem Design’s new yachting-inspired furniture collection. This exciting journey began when she took her furniture pieces, which were custom designed for a client, to her regular furniture design company back in Brazil and the owner loved them: ‘he said why don't you produce these pieces to a line and we can sell them as a furniture line inspired by yachting that can be used in residential as well’ Guilhem explained. 

Since then, Guilhem has launched her line in Brazil, and now with plenty of excitement in store, Carlia Guilhem Design is also launching this line in Miami.

Another project from Carla Guilhem Design is on its way, coming to Palm Beach. After developers saw Guilhem's yachting design work, they reached out, and Carla Guilhem is now undertaking three condo developments. ‘What we brought to the yachting industry was the comfort and serenity of a home…we are now bringing back to the real estate our heightened appreciation for custom design and details’, Artmann elaborated. 

Developers were excited to bring Carla Guilhem Design's yachting-inspired furniture and concepts to their water-front properties. 

Finally, another exciting feat to take note of is the award Carla Guilhem Design attained at the Cannes Yachting Festival, ‘it seems like the industry likes what we are putting out there’ says Artmann.
