MYS 2023: Turquoise Yachts on Being Proud to be Turkish

Proudly displaying 53m JEWELS here at the Monaco Yacht Show, Turquoise Yachts has taken its place as a highly esteemed shipyard with a very bright future ahead of it. Patrik von Sydow, CEO of the shipyard, commented on how he feels to be attending the show: ‘Coming here and actually meeting clients and potential clients face to face in this environment of yachts and yachting is very exciting. It’s what it’s all about.'

As well as the recent launch of JEWELS, the Turkish yard is currently working on its largest yacht to date: 87m VENTO, a collaboration with H2 Yacht Design. This will be the ninth collaboration between the shipyard and design studio, set to launch next year. 

As well as speaking on Turquoises’ exciting projects, including the six projects currently underway, four of which being around the 80m mark plus two sailing yachts, von Sydow also expressed his appreciation for being based in the beautiful country of Turkey.

‘Turkish yacht building has done well for a long time, but the fact that it’s now busier than ever drives new success, new learning, new experiences; not just for yacht builders, but also for the suppliers around us, the engineering companies. It’s a big network forming, and forming ever-stronger. So from our personal point of view at Turquoise Yachts, I’m very happy we’re based in Turkey; in amongst this growing industry.’

With the motivation to always be working on the next project, Turquoise Yachts is set to have a very bright future.
