MYS 2024: H2 Yacht Design Celebrates 30th Anniversary
We welcomed H2 Yacht Design’s Owner & Design Director, Jonny Horsfield, to the interview studio on the first day of the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show to hear about the company’s history, current projects, and future aspirations.
H2 Yacht Design is celebrating its 30th anniversary, a significant milestone that reflects the company’s growth and impact in the yacht design industry. Horsfield shared how this achievement symbolises not just longevity but true adoration and passion for the industry. Starting out made-redundant at 28 years old, Horsefield reflected on his journey and the celebration of making it 30 years in the industry.
H2 is also working on the interior design for Turquoise’s 75m Project ARROW, which promises to be an exciting addition to their portfolio. Horsfield provided insights into what makes this vessel unique and how it aligns with their design ethos. The director also spoke about PROJECT VENTO 87m, in collaboration with Turquoise which he hopes to be ready for next year, Turquoise and H2 have been working closely together, with another 80m project on the horizon. The trend among the yachts mentioned is that their lengths are closely aligned with one another. This trend, as it turns out, is not purely coincidental as Horsefields comments ‘the sweet spot for us is 70 to 80 metres, there's no doubt about it’.
H2 Yacht Design's journey over the past 30 years has been marked by significant achievements, a diverse portfolio, and a commitment to excellence. With exciting projects set to happen in the near future, the company is well-positioned to continue making waves in the world of luxury yacht design.
