MYS 2024: Monaco Yacht Show’s Managing Director Talks Three Core Show Values

By Zoe Coughlan

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show, joined us in the Superyachts.com interview studio to discuss the success of the 33rd annual Monaco Yacht Show. From industry leaders and iconic yachts to innovative technology and stimulating conferences, Tallarida talks highlights of this year’s show.

The Monaco Yacht Show is undoubtedly the beating heart of the yachting community, uniting clients, professionals and enthusiasts alike. This year, Tallarida discussed the show’s focus on innovation and sustainability, integral pillars in today’s ever-evolving yachting industry.

There is innovation everywhere and that is so important to us [...] we welcome this week 46 yachts which are presented as world premier which is an amazing number. Usually, we have about 40 yachts so it shows how this platform is key for the yachting industry.

Throughout the four day event, newer businesses and longstanding leaders of the industry are in attendance, allowing for new connections to flourish and increasing the strength of the community. Tallarida explains that the event fosters an environment of engaging conversations, addressing important issues within the industry, and providing ample opportunity to collaborate to build the future of yachting.

Tallarida also addressed the return of the Sustainability Hub. Established last year to engage younger generations and working closely with the Water Revolution Foundation whose mission is to accelerate sustainability within the superyacht industry, the Hub reminds attendees of the importance of being environmentally conscious. This important partnership is pioneering the way for a greener future and their inclusion has been pivotal in stimulating integral conversations surrounding the collective environmental responsibility of the industry.

We loved speaking to The Monaco Yacht Show today and Superyachts.com would like to take the opportunity to thank Gaëlle Tallarida and her team for organising yet another fantastic show.
