MYS 2024: Navigating New Heights in Luxury Yacht Sales with Royal Yacht International
During a lively discussion in the Superyachts.com Studio at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Shari Liu welcomed Tommaso Chiabra, Founder and Chairman of Royal Yacht International (RYI), who shared exciting updates about the company’s recent accomplishments. Notably, RYI sold the most expensive yacht of the year, reflecting the company’s significant presence in the luxury yacht market.
Tommaso Chiabra, along with his partner Manuele Thiella, founded RYI over 15 years ago after moving from Italy to Monaco. Since then, the company has significantly expanded its network, with its fleet doubling in size for both charter management and sales compared to last year. Chiabra commented: ‘The clients assign us the task of selling their yachts, and we sell them very, very fast’, emphasising RYI's efficiency in closing deals.
One standout example of its rapid sales process was a 54-metre Mangusta yacht, which was sold in just two weeks. Chiabra explained: ‘We were fortunate enough to have the trust of this very well known family in the yachting business, to represent their yacht and in just two weeks time, after enquiries, we were able to close the sales’.
RYI has three Baglietto yachts under construction, with one scheduled for delivery next year and the others expected sometime across 2027 and 2028. Chiabra expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating ‘Baglietto really over-delivers on their promises and we have done a great job together.’
Overall, Tommaso Chiabra conveyed a strong vision for Royal Yacht International as the company continues to excel in yacht sales and management. Its commitment to quality service and rapid execution positions RYI as a leading player in the luxury yachting industry.
