MYS 2024: Red Yacht Design on Growing Global Footprint
Cana Gokhan, Co-Founder of Red Yacht Design, joined Shari Liu at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 to share insights into the Turkish design studio. Gokhan shed light on recent projects that the studio has completed, alongside acknowledging the brand’s growing global expansion.
Founded in 2017, Red Yacht Design is a multi-award winning design studio that is characterised by its multidisciplinary approach. Cana Gokhan, the company’s Co-Founder, shared with Shari Liu the benefits of having all disciplines within one studio, one of which being able to offer clients a truly custom and bespoke approach.
Red Yacht Design has seen some highly exciting projects enter its yard recently, one of which being a one-of-a-kind Heesen. Gokhan shared her excitement on this project:
‘We’re going to give her another soul. She has these sleek exterior lines, and she’s going to have a new interior.’
With the aim to grow its global presence, Red Yacht Design has begun to expand beyond Turkey, having now opened an office in London.
‘We are ready to work with the European shipyards… we are closer to our clients, the European shipyards and most of the events.’
Describing the studio’s current position as ‘silent before the storm’, Gokhan revealed the busy couple of years ahead of the studio, with nine projects currently under construction. Seven of these are above 40m, and all will be completed before 2026.
