New ISA CONTINENTAL 80m Begins Construction On Speculation

By Frances Flannagan

ISA Yachts has announced that the construction of the third hull of its 80m CONTINENTAL model is officially underway. This model beautifully combines a variety of standout features such as an infinity pool with a design that has been optimised for guests, with large volumes and panoramic views characterising this spectacular vessel.

The CONTINENTAL 80 is a model from ISA Yachts that is distinguished by well-balanced volumes and flowing lines, built in steel and aluminium and designed by Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design. She can accommodate up to 12 guests across seven cabins, assisted by 19 crew members that are housed in 10 cabins.

This model has a range of standout features, including a touch-and-go helipad and terraces in the mid section and on the upper deck. She also boasts an infinity pool that is designed with an aft containment wall formed by glass plates with water flowing between them, an example of the unique details that pervade her design.

The third hull is currently in build at the Ancona shipyard, with the first four blocks already having been assembled.

Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts, commented: ‘We believe that there are the right economic conditions to invest again in the construction of an 80-metre vessel, following the sale of the other two hulls currently in build with the same size and engineering, also began as on-spec projects. Drawing on over 50-year history, our experience leads us to trust the current market and supports our decision to invest in projects we believe to be at the vanguard in terms of design and technical innovation.’

The other two units of the CONTINENTAL 80 have already been sold, scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027 respectively, whilst the third hull will be available for delivery in the first quarter of 2028.
