Oceanco Talks Top 100: Radical Designs that will Shape the Future of Yachting

By Frances Flannagan

Oceanco is defined by truly iconic vessels that have captivated the industry not just because of their innovations, but for their size. Paris Baloumis, Group Marketing Director at Oceanco, spoke about some of the Dutch yard’s Top 100 vessels, as well as sharing an exclusive insight into the radical new designs set to launch in 2025.

At Superyachts.com’s Top 100 event, it is only fitting that Paris Baloumis shone light on Oceanco’s largest vessel to date: 125m KORU. This classic schooner followed the success of BLACK PEARL, featuring eye-catching exteriors and a contemporary interior design.

Another icon of the sea is H3. She has become a flagship for not just Oceanco, but the entire superyacht industry, due to her extensive rebuild, transformed from a 20 year old vessel into a modern day masterpiece.

In 2025, we can expect to see two Top 100 deliveries from Oceanco, both being incredibly unique designs. Baloumis commented: ‘One yacht will have quite a radical layout, so there’s no distinction between crew and guests anymore’, emphasising Oceanco’s commitment to crafting the exceptional.

Both yachts will also be defined by sustainability, making use of Oceanco’s Life cycle Assessment Tool, which measures the carbon footprint during the entire duration of the yacht build process.

In the coming years, Baloumis revealed that we can expect to see a focus on both energy transition and increased customisation. He commented:

‘We are not betting on any single fuel. We are just making sure that the yachts we’re building are future-proof meaning they can accommodate alternative fuels as we go.’
