Oceanco Unveils Simply Custom Interior Collection

Unveiled to the industry at FLIBS 2023, Oceanco’s Simply Custom initiative provides an intelligent solution to building a custom yacht: guaranteeing the Dutch yard’s unmatched design whilst streamlining the process for yacht Owners. The range is available from 80 metres, featuring a state-of-the-art all-electrical propulsion system and excellent noise, vibration and seakeeping standards.

The five studios that make up the Simply Custom Interior Collection are Burdifilek, Dasha Moranova Designs, Luca Dini Design & Architecture, Studio Liaigre and Zuretti Design, each offering a uniquely stunning contribution to the platform. 

Burdifilek

Developing the interiors for Pegasus by Oceanco, yet also able to compliment other exteriors, Burdifilek intended to craft a design that was handsome, powerful and confident. The art of living, relaxation and comfort are at the heart of the design, which strives to create an environment that is undeniably timeless. 

Diego Burdi and Paul Filek, Co-Founders of the studio, commented on some of the intricate features of the design:

‘Consistency rests on the intentionally limited number of materials and the colour selection. Rich woods and textured stones create warmth and contrast, while a darker, opulent colour palette exudes timeless luxury.’

Dasha Moranova Designs

Dasha Moranova Designs has partnered with Bozca Limitless Design for Simply Custom, creating an interior that beautifully compliments Aurai’s eye-catching exteriors. A singular goal defines the studio’s vision, that is: to blend the outdoors with the indoors, implementing the distinctive lines of the exterior to shape the interior areas. 

Dasha Moranova, Founder & Creative Director of the studio, commented: ‘Aurai is not just a yacht; it’s a redefinition of oceanic luxury. Built for those who seek the extraordinary and adventure, this masterpiece combines state-of-the-art innovation with timeless elegance.’

Different aesthetics and atmospheres are achieved by adjusting finishes and wall panels, allowing Owners to implement their personalities and individual tastes effortlessly. 

Luca Dini Design & Architecture 

Developed out of the industry’s demand for a large aft directly connected to the sea, Luca Dini Design & Architecture’s offering to Simply Custom is characterised by a beach club that spans two levels. This 500 sqm space is able to be used in a variety of ways for a diverse range of situations, simultaneously connecting those onboard to their surrounding ocean environment.

Commenting on the second level of this masterful design, Luca Dini, President & CEO of the brand, shared: 

‘The internal area is a stylistic continuation of outside, it various doors fully opening to create a completely integrated space with panoramic terraces… The two decks are architecturally connected by a monumental staircase which, thanks to a mirror ceiling, gives the illusion of extending infinitely.’

Studio Liaigre

Like Burdifilek, Studio Liaigre has also designed an interior which is able to be adapted to work alongside a number of the Simply Custom exteriors, despite originally imagined for MTT Voyageur by Messerschmitt Yachts. The main intention behind this design was to reflect a contemporary and dynamic everyday lifestyle. 

Guillaume Rolland commented: ‘The philosophy is to create harmonious and well-proportioned spaces, organised and centred around a scenario imagined and designed ad hoc for a living place adapted to all moments: family vacation and leisure, home office, informal moments and parties with friends, formal receptions, daily life and more.’

Zuretti Design

Zuretti Design’s interior offering to Simply Custom has been inspired by different ways of exploring the relationship between the inside and the outside, alongside the flexibility of spaces. 

François Zuretti and Sebastien Gey commented on the seamless blending of the beach club and wellness area: ‘Like cliffs eroded by time and the wind, the wooden partitions create fluid transitions between spaces, leading the guests to the wellness area, and extending the experience of luxury and comfort towards the folding platform.’
