Pink Party: A Vibrant Celebration of the Enchanting Islands of Antigua & Barbuda

By Frances Flannagan

When thinking of Antigua & Barbuda, ideas of lavish beaches, lush scenery and tranquil escapes may come to mind. However, there is something else that this stunning destination is renowned for; that is, how to throw a spectacular party. On the Friday night of the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, the Superyachts.com stand came alive with the vibrant and energetic ‘Pink Party,’ celebrating the enchanting pink sands of Barbuda and all that the island has to offer.

With an estimated 100 guests in attendance, the atmosphere of the 2024 Antigua & Barbuda party was livelier than ever, entitled the ‘Pink Party’ to showcase the beautiful island of Barbuda. The evening was not just a celebration; it was also centred around a dedicated charter brokers’ campaign, created by Superyachts.com, to raise awareness for its highly anticipated ‘Discovering Barbuda’ series. The campaign aimed to educate charter brokers about the diverse activities and luxurious amenities Barbuda has to offer to charter guests and yacht owners, shining a light on what has been labelled ‘the Caribbean’s best-kept secret’.

As an incentive for participation, an impressive array of prizes were on offer, including five-year-old English Harbour Rum, thrilling buggy tours around Antigua, an unforgettable opportunity to swim with stingrays and exhilarating zip-lining tours through the canopy. The two most coveted prizes were a fine dining experience at the iconic Sheer Rocks Restaurant and two return tickets from London to Antigua, complete with a one-night stay at the luxurious Carlisle Bay Resort.

As the rum punches flowed freely and a live saxophonist serenaded the crowd, the ambiance was further enlivened by dancers who brought a taste of Caribbean flair to the event. The Pink Party was truly a treat for MYS attendees, who were seamlessly transported from European charm to an island paradise.

The festivities at the Pink Party marked not just an unforgettable evening, but the promise of endless adventures waiting in Antigua and Barbuda. The night was undoubtedly a significant step towards elevating these beautiful islands as the next must-visit destination in the superyacht world, and we at Superyachts.com would like to thank everyone in attendance for making it such a special night.
