Project Evita: The 57 Metre Masterpiece Taking Shape at Heesen

By Frances Flannagan

Heesen Yachts has proudly announced an exciting update on 57m Project Evita, with her keel having been successfully laid. She is set apart from others of a similar size due to her impressive performance capabilities, able to reach an impressive speed of 22 knots whilst offering guests exceptional volumes and comfort onboard.

Built entirely from aluminium, Project Evita is being designed to set new standards in luxury cruising. The keel laying has taken place at Heesen’s facility in Oss, symbolising the start of her construction.

Heesen is a true master in the build of hulls, ensuring each and every one is designed to the highest of standards. Project Evita will boast a top speed of 22 knots, characterised by offering those on board an exceptional blend of both performance and comfort.

‘To achieve such a high top speed, the yacht must be lightweight, so we are naturally building in aluminium – something that we here at Heesen have elevated into an art form over the years,’ commented Peter van der Zanden, General Manager of Design and Development at Heesen Yachts. ‘The vertical bow guarantees a long waterline length for maximum efficiency and speed potential, while the aft end is composed of complex sweeping curves. This yacht will be unmistakable when she enters a new harbour.’

A rarity for a yacht of this size, Project Evita will also be well suited for cruising remote areas due to her shallow draft, the Bahamas in particular being the perfect destination to take such a vessel.

Omega Architects has penned her striking exterior, defined by an elongated profile and a scoop-shaped stern. She boasts a volume of 780 GT, offering those onboard a spacious and comfortable layout that doesn’t compromise her agility on the water.

Her interior has been penned by Harrison Eidsgaard, who has implemented a plethora of features to enhance both relaxation and entertainment onboard. 12 guests can be accommodated across six staterooms, with access across the vessel made effortless with a central elevator connecting all three decks.

A highlight of Project Evita is undoubtedly the pool that can be found on the main deck aft, where guests can enjoy the surrounding seascape. The transom hosts a lazarette that is able to provide storage for a comprehensive range of water toys, for those who enjoy the thrills at sea.

Project Evita is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2027.
