Self-Financed Construction of New Columbus Atlantique 37 Underway

By Frances Flannagan

Columbus Yachts has announced that a new project has entered construction at Palumbo Superyachts Savona shipyard: a brand new Columbus Atlantique 37. A series of innovative design elements have been implemented onboard to enhance a connection to the sea, including a pool located just 50cm above sea level and rounded windows that provide unparalleled views for the upper deck dining area.

Joining the first yacht of this 37m model and the Columbus Crossover 42m, the second, self-financed hull of the Columbus Atlantique 37 line has recently entered construction at the brand’s Savona shipyard.

She is built entirely from aluminium, with her exterior and interior design penned by Hot Lab. Her silhouette reflects that of a classic sailing yacht, whilst her external lines remain clean and elegant, with a hint of sportiness suggestive of an optimised performance. The Columbus Atlantique 37 is able to reach a maximum speed of 22 knots, thanks to a semi-planing hull and 2 MAN 2000hp engines.

Her onboard spaces seamlessly interact with the exteriors, this flowing layout enhancing the onboard experience as it contributes to a spacious feel throughout the yacht. A highlight of her design is a panoramic pool, located just 50cm above sea level, fuelling an unwavering connection to the sea.

She is a compact vessel with a gross tonnage of 299GT, featuring accommodation for a total of 10 guests. The master suite can be found at the bow of the main deck, fitted with a fixed terrace, luxurious double-sink bathroom, large central shower and walk-in-wardrobe. The remaining four double cabins are situated below deck.

There are two dining spots onboard: one situated al fresco on the main deck and the other on the upper deck. The latter area features large rounded windows that can slide up and down: a unique design element that encourages contact with the sea and the surrounding vistas.

Marked by modernity, elegance and sophistication, the Atlantique line continues to be attractive on the market, this unit showcasing the remarkable nature of this model. She is scheduled for delivery in 2027.
