Simpson Marine has recently unveiled a series of exciting updates, including new projects, significant certifications and the unveiling of a premier boat show line-up. In March 2024, it was announced that Sanlorenzo was set to acquire Simpson Marine, promising exciting future prospects for both the shipyard and the brokerage. The Italian yard has recently unveiled the innovative LIFE MYSTIC project, representing significant leaps towards sustainability in the yachting industry. Collaborating with Nanni Industries and Ranieri Tonissi, its innovative approach means the yard is aiming to create the world’s first green methanol bi-fuel superyacht by 2027, a fantastic achievement for the shipyard and the industry alike.
Also since its acquisition of the brokerage, Sanlorenzo has proudly achieved a groundbreaking milestone by receiving the world’s first “Digital Yachting” certification from RINA for the sixth unit of its SP110 line. This stunning yacht, part of the award winning BGX range designed by architect Luca Santella and naval architects Zuccon International Project, showcases the epitome of luxury design and embodies a blend of style, comfort and performance. The BGX63 also boasts an open deck design that connects directly to the sea, offering spacious living areas ideal for entertaining, unwinding, and taking in the breathtaking views of the open water.
