SOLD: Perini Navi 50m S/Y SILENCIO
The 49.8-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Silencio has officially been sold in an in-house deal with Edmiston.
Delivered in 2001, Silencio, formerly known as Perseus, was the third yacht launched in Perini Navi's popular 50-metre series. Holding an impressive record as a regatta champion, Silencio has competed in regattas around the globe, including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in 2019.
Credited with a combination of technical brilliance and first class design, Perini Navi has always been in a class of its own. In 1982, unable to find a yacht suited to his personal concepts and ideas, Fabio Perini designed and built the first prototype of what would prove to be the most successful series of large sailing yachts in the world.
In terms of design, Silencio's exterior and interior was rejuvenated by Christian Liaigre during an extensive refit in 2012 and again in 2021. Her outdoor space was generously expanded, and her interior completely transformed with light and airy decor and furnishings.
Silencio provides accommodation for up to 10 guests, hosting them across four staterooms with accompanying Pullmans, with additional room available in the Owner's suite. Her outdoor spaces feature an aft deck terrace, a cosy lounge for al fresco dining, and a fold-down swim platform.
With a beam of 10.27 metres and a draft of 8.39 metres, she has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. In terms of performance, she is powered by twin Deutz AG engines, with the ability to reach 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Cornelius Gerling introduced the buyer, with Jonathan Barbe representing the seller. At the time of her sale, Silencio's last known asking price was €13,500,000.
Superyachts.com would like to congratulate her new owner and all parties involved.
