Tankoa Yachts Introduces Brand New 70mt Milano

Tankoa Yachts’ new 70mt Milano yacht is developed in collaboration with Nauta design, highlighting the Italian yard’s dedication to fostering successful partnerships with world-renowned designers.

The iconic Italian city of Milan has acted as an inspiration for this project, as a location which exudes elegance, aesthetic sensibility and intelligent design. This new 70m project features clean exterior lines that are pure and balanced, whilst also being modern and refinished, reflecting the timeless nature of Tankoa and Nauta’s DNA. 

Mario Pedol, Co-Founder of Nauta Design, commented: ‘The stretched horizontal lines establish a seamless connection with the sea’s surface and the horizon, providing an intimate connection with the natural environment… It embodies a reinvention of clean forms and harmonious volumes, resulting in a visual effect of lightness, purity and serenity.’ 

The stern area of the 70mt Milano is a highlight of this project, featuring a beach club with a lounge and a convertible gym, a relaxation area which includes a sauna and massage room, and folding hull platforms that open at sea level. If these features weren’t impressive enough, she also boasts a spectacular swimming pool with a fully-customisable large sun lounging area. 

An open-air lounge can be found on the main deck, which seamlessly connects to the beach area, followed by the main saloon and dining area. Two spacious VIP staterooms are located further forward, alongside a galley and a garage able to accommodate two tenders. 

The luxurious nature of this project can be seen in the vast master stateroom which is dedicated entirely to the Owner’s indulgence, found on the upper deck and offering unparalleled views. It has access to a private pool and helipad, whilst also boasting a walk-in wardrobe, His and Hers bathrooms and a study.

Alongside the wheelhouse, the bridge deck features a sensational cinema room, whilst the sundeck boasts an al fresco lounge area with a bar alongside a number of varied lounging options, acting as the perfect place to relax and enjoy the awe-inspiring panoramas. 

Tankoa is highly committed to sustainable technologies, something which is reflected in the design of this new project. She features a diesel-electric propulsion system, with four variable speed generators, allowing for a top speed of 16.5 knots. Tankoa is set to partner with leading suppliers to integrate methanol fuel cells into her design, which will offer the best combination of sustainability, comfort and safety. With regards to efficient hydrogen storage technologies, the 70mt Milano remains open to secure and efficient future advancements.
