The 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show Round-Up
From glorious sunshine to extreme downpours, the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) was certainly a spectacle. However, it wasn’t just the weather that kept visitors entertained, as the four-day East-Coast show saw another record-breaking edition with the largest display of boats and yachts ever seen in West Palm Beach.
Welcoming over 600 exhibitors with a range of products and services on display from the marine, boating, yachting and luxury lifestyle industries, there was certainly something for everyone at this year's PBIBS.
From engines and watersports equipment to boat and yacht accessories, alongside a jaw-dropping array of vessels from 2-metre inflatables to superyachts almost 90 metres in length, the 42nd edition of the annual March show yet again offered an unprecedented platform for the latest marine innovations and creations.
Organised and produced by Informa Markets and owned by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, the Flagler Drive location in downtown West Palm Beach was brimming with exhibitors and the adjacent waterway was packed with remarkable boats and superyachts. This year's show was once again opened by the Mayor of the City of West Palm Beach, Mayor Keith A. James, on Thursday 21st March to kick start an exciting four days.
With over 800 boats and yachts on display with an accumulative worth of more than $1.2 billion, PBIBS in fact saw record-breaking figures for this year’s event.
‘As the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show concludes its four-day run, we celebrate a significant milestone in the event's history, showcasing the largest display of boats and yachts ever seen in West Palm Beach,’ shared Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows, Informa Markets.
According to the show, this year’s edition saw over 55,000 visitors, again expected to contribute an economic impact of over $1.05 billion for Florida.
‘We extend our gratitude to our partners and show owners, the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, Inc. (MIAPBC), for their unwavering support. We are also grateful for the collaborative efforts of elected officials and community leaders from both Palm Beach County and the City of West Palm Beach, whose contributions were instrumental in the show's success.’
Alongside a plethora of exhibits, PBIBS’ Windwood VIP experience offered an exclusive sanctuary from both the heat and the rain, whilst the AquaZone, presented by Nautical Ventures, put on magnificent demonstrations for all ages to enjoy.
After another successful edition of the annual show, the industry looks forward to the return of PBIBS from the 20th March to the 23rd March 2025.
