After exploring all areas of Antigua’s beautiful shores and exquisite inland retreats, episode six showcases some of the island’s highlights that are designed to add the finishing touch to the ultimate charter experience for those visiting by superyacht.

‘The first thing that yacht owners, captains or guests like are the warm and friendly Antiguans,’ comments Ann-Marie Martin, Antigua National Parks Commissioner. ‘We have that energy that draws them to our island and makes them want to come back for more. We offer high-quality service in a very relaxed atmosphere…Antigua really offers all that you need for relaxation.’

And we couldn’t agree more. Based on the west coast of Antigua lies the renowned restaurant Sheer Rocks. Offering a wide range of dishes all made with ingredients sourced locally from the island, the Owner of Sheer Rocks, Alex Grimley highlights how at Sheer Rocks, ‘it's more about relaxed, casual dining, with fine food.’ Similarly, English Harbour’s South Point Restaurant and Hotel offer all types of high-quality cosmopolitan cuisine, from sushi to Italian, perfectly accompanied by weekly live music performances.

Undoubtedly, Antigua provides modern-day luxuries with a Caribbean twist, perfect for those seeking authentic island experiences without compromising on quality.

Yet another example of this is the 300-acre private island, comprising of resort and private residences, of Jumby Bay Island. Trevor McDonald, Director of Residences at Jumby Bay Island shares: ‘you have everything that you could imagine at Jumby Bay Island. As an example, we don’t have set menus, we create the menu around your likes and dislikes.’ And if that isn’t an incredible example of the experience that one can expect in Antigua, then we don’t know what is.

Brimming with stunning landscapes, a beach for every day of the year, and an abundance of attractions and experiences, Antigua & Barbuda is nothing short of paradise: a definite must-visit for those visiting by superyacht.
