The First Yacht in Wally’s Performance Cruiser Range Launched

By Frances Flannagan

Wally has announced that the new 33m wallywind110 has successfully hit the water. Bearing an iridescent blue hull and a thoughtful study of deck spaces, this milestone launch represents the pinnacle of sailing superyacht design, exuding unmatched elegance and uniqueness.

Just over a year after the launch of the full custom wally101, the brand new wallywind110 has successfully been launched. This milestone marks a significant point in the journey for the wallywind performance cruiser range, which officially began in 2022 and includes the wallywind130 and the wallywind150.

‘The launch of this first semi-custom sail model since Wally became part of Ferretti Group in 2019 is a very significant moment for us,’ commented Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director at Wally. ‘Not only does it coincide with the brand’s 30th anniversary, but it also once again confirms how relevant the sailing superyacht sector is for Wally. We have always been a leader in this segment, and we aim to continue anticipating market trends by creating yachts capable of becoming true benchmarks in both yachting and design.’

The launch ceremony was attended by the management of Wally and Ferretti Group, the entire team and workforce involved in the project, and their families.

Attendees were captivated by this stunning yacht as she hit the water; she features an all-carbon hull glistening with bright metallic paint with blue reflections, designed by the expert team at judel/vrolijk & co. With iridescent paintwork that shifts in the changing light, the wallywind110 exudes an unparalleled elegance and uniqueness that showcases the exceptional quality of the shipyard.

Her exterior and interior design were penned by Wally’s internal design team and Santa Maria Magnolfi studio, a key feature of this yacht being a unique deck layout which resembles that of a much larger vessel.

‘The wallywind110 is not just a superyacht that promises impressive performance,’ commented Luca Bassani, Founder & Chief Designer at Wally. ‘Wally has always been synonymous with both performance and design. The thoughtful study of the wallywind110’s deck spaces has resulted in an 80 square metre cockpit, free of technical equipment (relocated to the stern), comparable to that of a sailing superyacht of at least 60 metres long. The owner and their guests can relax on sofas, sunbeds, and seating. Not to mention the other two lounge areas located on the ‘sea terrace’ at the stern and on the foredeck.’

The second unit of this spectacular model is already under construction.
