The Future of Feadship: 72m SAKURA Sold
Feadship’s Project 827 SAKURA has been sold by Burgess after just six weeks on the market. Named after the Japanese word for ‘cherry blossom’, she represents the future of Feadship yachts: an aesthetically eye-catching and technologically advanced design.
SAKURA is a 71.74m diesel-electric yacht, scheduled for delivery in May 2025. She has a sleek, low-rise profile, dominated by clean exteriors and bright interior spaces. Maarten Janssen, Feadship’s Sales Director, commented on her new owner's decision to purchase this spectacularly advanced vessel: ‘He loved the exterior and interior design, and the yacht totally fit what he was looking for in terms of layout for family use. A perfect fit, in other words.’
It is no surprise that her owner was attracted to the beautiful design, with her exteriors penned by Studio De Voogt and interior design from FM Architettura. Blending Scandinavian warmth with refined Japanese aesthetics, SAKURA is a remarkable creation that was bound to catch the eye of clients.
The family-layout that caught the attention of the owner includes a spacious central communal space, four double staterooms and two VIP staterooms alongside a master suite. From sociability offered from the spacious design, to ultimate privacy with the master stateroom featuring a private breakfast nook and hot tub, SAKURA is an incredibly versatile vessel.
SAKURA represents the future of Feadship superyachts; beautiful aesthetics and impressive technological advancements are blended together in her design to showcase ultimate, unmatched luxury. She features a diesel-electric propulsion system; reducing fuel consumption and engine noise, imitating the harmonious nature of her interior design.
Richard Lambert, Head of Sales at Burgess, commented: ‘It has been a pleasure to have worked hand in hand with the new owner and Feadship for project Sakura and we are looking forward to a continued close collaboration for the completion of this stunning new build project.’
Superyachts.com would like to congratulate all those involved in the sale of this spectacular vessel and wish SAKURA the best of luck in her future stages of construction.
