The Latest Custom FD80 Launched by Horizon Yachts
The latest FD80 has been launched by Horizon Yachts, featuring beautiful custom interiors by Cor D. Rover. A 24m yacht that is highly versatile and functional, this model rivals larger yachts in terms of space and style, whilst exuding unparalleled luxury in every element of her design.
The 24.56m FD80 is the most successful model in Horizon Yacht’s high-volume Fast Displacement series and the smaller sister to the popular FD90 motor yacht. The model balances style and space with luxurious superyacht amenities, making her a highly popular design. Debuting on the Australian market, the latest FD80 has recently hit the water, featuring a custom interior design by renowned Dutch designer Cor D. Rover.
The new custom FD80 boasts a four-stateroom layout with an on-deck master suite and a split-use skylounge. The skylounge is a highlight of this design, with standout features such as a pull-out Teppanyaki grill station and a fold-down 43” television to starboard. Space and sociability is at the heart of this FD80, with a large aft deck featuring a dining table for eight and walk around side decks, and an open-plan interior layout with an innovative multi-functional dining space with a convertible table to starboard. Another impressive design feature is an electric drop-down panel which separates the stunning centre island of Hermitage Cambria quartz from the rest of the salon area when required.
The interior style is characterised by curves and rounded shapes, curved elements echoed from overhead design and arch-shaped accent lighting. ABI Interiors are responsible for the furnishings and accents that attribute this yacht a soft minimalist look.
The full-beam master suite showcases the beautiful interior styling to its fullest, highlighted by a light grey headboard with a half moon panel of metal and lacquer. Natural light is able to flood the space thanks to a honeycomb skylight with an electric Oceanair blind, adding visual interest to the space. This is further accented by the wardrobe with fluted glass doors and hidden lighting within the wall molding.
The other staterooms are located on the lower deck, the forward room featuring rotating beds that can be joined to form a queen or separated. This further emphasises the innovations behind this FD80’s design to ensure maximum flexibility for guests onboard.
‘We are delighted to welcome another Cor D. Rover Signature Series design to our market,’ commented Mark Western, Director of Horizon Yacht Australia. ‘The modern interior styling of this new FD80 showcases the luxurious finishes available in the FD Series, while the abundant use of curves is testament to Horizon’s craftsmanship and customization capability.’
